1590년에 세워진 필암서원은 조선 중기 대표 유학자인 김인후(1510~1560) 선생을 기리기 위해 지어진 서원입니다.
Built in 1590, Piram Seowon was established to honor Kim In-hu (1510–1560), a respected Confucian scholar of mid-Joseon.
그는 강직한 인품과 깊은 학문으로 퇴계 이황과 어깨를 나란히 했던 인물입니다.
He was known for his upright character and profound scholarship, standing alongside Toegye Yi Hwang in reputation.
